The committee makes weird decisions sometimes and I think this could be one of them. I don’t think Mississippi State *should* get left out, but I can see the committee’s strange logic choosing Seton Hall over them: Seton Hall has a much better conference record (13-7 vs. 8-10, better Q1+2 record (9-11 vs. 8-12), arguably better top three wins (UConn/Marquette/@St. John’s vs. Tennessee (N)/Tennessee/Auburn), more Q1 wins (5 vs. 4), and better worst loss (Rutgers vs. Southern). The metrics definitely favor Mississippi State but the committee seemingly has the tendency to throw those out the window for at least one team every March… we’ll see what happens
